Common questions about booking, appointments and care at Oxford Street Physiotherapy.
No referral is required for physiotherapy at Oxford Street Physiotherapy. DVA and EPC (Enhanced Primary Care) referrals are also accepted. We are registered with all private health funds with HICAPS on-site so you can claim your rebate immediately and only pay the gap.
We accept all major private health funds including Medibank, Bupa, HBF, NIB, HCF, AHM, FRANK Health and Teachers Health. HICAPS is available on-site for instant rebate claiming.
Bring any relevant imaging (X-rays, MRI reports), referral letters if you have one, your private health card for HICAPS claiming, and wear or bring comfortable clothing that allows the physiotherapist to assess the area of concern.
Initial physiotherapy consultations are typically 45 to 60 minutes. Follow-up appointments are usually 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise on the appropriate length for your situation.
Yes, telehealth physiotherapy consultations are available at Oxford Street Physiotherapy. All you need is a phone, laptop or smart device with a stable internet connection and camera. Private health rebates may apply for current patients seen within the past six months.
